- For safety reasons, you will need to ensure all children and pets are kept away from the stump grinding area on the day of the appointment.
- As part of our service, you do not need to be concerned about the height of the stump, as we will trim it down to the necessary height for grinding, usually free of charge depending on height
- No need to worry about taking time off of work to oversee our operation, as we ensure 100% satisfaction and will attend to any concerns that may arise upon your return. Also, we do not require any hydro or water hook-up.
- You also do not need to worry about taking time off of work to oversee our operation as we work fast (normally finished within an hour) and we are comfortable working unattended. We do not require any hydro or water hook-up.
On the stump removal date we haul in a specialized piece of equipment called a stump grinder.
- A stump grinder is a machine that has a cutter wheel with powerful blades on it. The spinning cutter wheel is swung side to side and lowered to grind the stump down to approximately 6” – 8” below the grade to deter sucker growth.
- The stumps’ surface roots may also be ground away if necessary.
- Our state-of-the-art stump grinder is small enough to fit through a 32″ gate but powerful enough to grind down on the largest stumps.
- We also have ramps that make it possible for our equipment to climb up elevated areas such as steps, curbs and patios.
- The team will isolate the grinding site with security boards that are used to protect any buildings and structures that are adjacent to the stump removal area. This also adds an additional layer of protection for those working at the job.
- We back fill the hole with a mix of the soil and mulch created by the stump grinder, then rake smooth and can seed or sod the area upon request. You also have the option of providing your own back fill, seed or sod to save money.
- We then clean up the surrounding area and deposit the excess mulch in recycling bags, which you can either retain for your garden or leave for curb side pickup. Mulch provides excellent fill and compost so is great for spreading around gardens.
We depart from your job only after you are 100% satisfied with our work.
We will return within 24 hours free of charge to address any issues that become apparent after we leave your job.
